College of Ethnic Studies Dean's Lecture Series: Dr. Sheila Walker

Join us for the College of Ethnic Studies Dean’s Lecture Series, featuring Dr. Sheila Walker, a cultural anthropologist, writer, and filmmaker who has devoted her career to studying and celebrating the African diaspora. Dr. Walker is the founder and executive director of the Afrodiaspora, a nonprofit organization that promotes cultural awareness and appreciation of African heritage. She has also produced and directed several documentaries, including Scattered Africa: Faces and Voices of the African Diaspora and Familiar Faces/Unexpected Places: A Global African Diaspora.
