You are invited to learn about the new Lunch and Learn conversation series for staff during a kickoff event on Friday, February 17, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., hosted by the Staff Working Group on Belonging, Community, and Diversity. Check your campus email for details on the location.
This event will also kick off our staff book club, starting with the books, So You Want to Talk About Race and Why Are All the Black Kids Sitting Together in the Cafeteria.
We will begin with a brief introduction to the Lunch and Learn series and the staff book club, followed by a fun game of CSU-inspired Black History trivia over lunch from a local Black-owned restaurant. The books and trivia will provide an opportunity to learn more about Black Excellence with a twist of excitement.
Individuals who want to participate will be invited to meetings over the semester to discuss the books, along with other topics of interest for the Lunch and Learn series.
