Event Description: Academic administrators, interested students and their parents are welcome to attend the EEP Information Session. The Informational includes a presentation on the Early Entrance Program and academic acceleration as an option for some students, application information, as well as information about the Honors College at Cal State LA. Discover how, for some students, the alternative pathway that EEP provides offers the academic acceleration they crave. Meet current EEP students to learn why they chose this unusual educational path, and why it has worked for them. The informational will also include a question-and-answer session.
Frequently Asked Questions:
Who may participate in EEP?
Students between the ages of 11-15 who are identified by their schools as highly gifted, who score in the top 10% of their class on standardized exams, and/or who possess college-level verbal or mathematical skills are encouraged to test.
We ask GATE coordinators, teachers and administrators of many intermediate schools in Los Angeles County and beyond to select those students who they believe would be especially qualified to complete an SAT exam. Parents and students may also self-select, based on their test scores or skills, and sign themselves up for the test.
