In this program, faculty will explore how Indigenous ways of knowing, learning, and teaching are deeply connected to the land, community, and cultural traditions. It challenges participants to rethink mainstream education by centering place-based learning grounded in Indigenous world-views.

Key themes covered in the workshops are:

  2. Indigenous Knowledge Systems
  3. Place-Based Learning in Practice
  4. Decolonizing Education
  5. Personal Reflection and Land Connection

The program is designed not only to expand your knowledge, but to actively transform the way you teach. Each session connects directly to classroom practice by giving you opportunities to re-envision your assignments and adopt new strategies that promote student engagement and success. Faculty will leave with practical tools, lesson redesigns, and reflective frameworks that can be immediately applied in their courses.
