All Cal State LA logos for colleges, divisions and offices, as well as institutes, initiatives, centers and programs connected to the University are approved and created by the Office of Communications and Public Affairs. All requests for an alternate logo must be sent to the office, which will create the new logo if approved.
All Cal State LA logos are only for the official use of University divisions, colleges, departments, offices, centers and institutes.
Cal State LA’s primary logo is the Badge, featured to the right. The Badge is recommended for all uses because it conveys the Cal State LA brand clearly at any size. Space restrictions can lessen the impact of the other Cal State LA logos that contain separate typography and the Los Angeles skyline. The Badge is available in two styles: full-color with a white background and black-and-white.
It is unnecessary to pair the Badge with the customized Cal State LA typography, since “Cal State LA” is already featured prominently inside.
If you are a staff or faculty member who creates communication materials for work, please contact the Office of Communications and Public Affairs to request the new logos, or join the Communications Community group in the myCalStateLA portal.
