The mission of the Department of Marketing is to provide students in undergraduate, graduate and certificate programs the intellectual, ethical, and professional marketing skills needed to enter and succeed in their chosen professional and managerial careers, and to make positive contributions to the local and global marketplace.

To this end, the Department's emphasis is on "Excellence In Teaching Through Practical Application" in the following undergraduate options: Marketing, International Business, Retailing, and Entrepreneurship; in the following certificates programs: Marketing, Entrepreneurship, Commercial Transportation, Retail Professional Development, International Business and International Business Communication; and in the following graduate options: Marketing Management and International Business.
