Certificate Programs

The Department offers specialized certificates for students and others looking to gain business expertise in a specific business area and a healthcare management certificate for professionals with a bachelor's degree who are looking to advance their knowledge in the field. Certificate in Entrepreneurship

The Department offers an undergraduate credit certificate in Entrepreneurship, designed to prepare students and business people for careers in starting, managing, or working in small businesses. The program includes instruction about how to take a product or service from the idea stage through the introduction and growth stages, and how to successfully manage the business. A focus may be taken in retailing, marketing of services and products, consulting, accounting, finance, or entrepreneurship. A total of 24 units is required. Healthcare Management

The Graduate Certificate in Healthcare Leadership program is designed to help healthcare professionals prepare for leading people and change and navigating their careers in the context of ongoing healthcare reform. The program focuses on current organization and management aspects of healthcare industry and is part of our highly accredited College of Business & Economics (CBE). A bachelor’s degree with a 2.5 minimum grade point average and one or more years of healthcare experience are required for admission to the program. This is a short, robust, four-course graduate program where the students study either at their own pace, together with the MS HCM students, or as part of their organizational cohort arranged in collaboration with their employer. Either way, admission and completion requirements for this Graduate Certificate program are the same, and its courses may be later transferable into the MS HCM studies.

Human Resources Management

The undergraduate credit certificate program in Human Resource Managementis designed to prepare non-Management option Business Administration majors and students in other majors for employment in human resources management positions and to provide working and professional people the human resource management knowledge necessary for rapid career advancement.

General Management

The undergraduate credit certificate program in General Management designed to prepare non-Management option Business Administration majors and students in other majors for employment in a general management position and to provide working and professional people the general management knowledge necessary for rapid career advancement.

Operations and Supply Chain Management

The undergraduate credit certificate program in Operations Managementis designed to prepare non-Management option Business Administration majors and students in other majors for employment in an operations management position and to provide working and professional people the operations management knowledge necessary for rapid career advancement.
