Jameson Williams, originally from the west side of Chicago, enlisted in the U.S. Army National Guard in 2019, seeking to become a change agent and community service supporter. Assigned to the Joint Service Task Force Rattlesnake as a wildland firefighter in Mendocino County, he served through several fire seasons before returning to school.
After serving in the task force, Jameson enrolled in Pasadena City College, completing dual associate degrees in kinesiology and political science. Currently, at California State University, Los Angeles, he is pursuing his undergraduate degree in Kinesiology intending to implement health and wellness initiatives across a wide spread of communities as a program assistant at the Health Promotion & Education Center within the Student Health Center.
Jameson is also an elected state delegate, advocating for service members and veterans through the advocacy group the Enlisted Association of the National Guard of the United States (EANGUS). He engages in various campus organizations such as the National Society of Leadership and Success, Forensics Speech, and Debate, as well as Parishes and Parks as a program circuit training coach in East LA. Jameson has a goal to utilize his education to promote public health and community well-being, breaking stereotypes and contributing positively to society.
