LACHSA students walk for the arts on Cal State L.A. campus

Hundreds of students to walk across campus as part of fundraising effort on Nov. 7

What:  Students from the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts (LACHSA) will take part in an annual Walk for the Arts to raise funds for the school. Located on the Cal State L.A. campus, LACHSA is an award-winning public high school that provides college-preparatory academics and pre-professional conservatory-style arts education for some of the most promising young artists in Los Angeles.

Who:  Hundreds of students who have appealed to relatives, friends, local merchants, LACHSA alumni and others for donations will walk across Cal State L.A. and finish the event near the high school. Gourmet food trucks will be on hand to offer up delicious dishes, ranging from Maine lobster to oven-baked pizza and falafels. The public is invited to join the festivities.

When:   Friday, Nov. 7, 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

More:   LACHSA is a tuition-free, award-winning school that was founded in 1984 and is recognized as one of the premier arts high schools in the nation. The school’s 600 students attend 9th to 12th grade and reflect the racial, ethnic and socio-economic diversity of Los Angeles County. LACHSA is fully accredited and ranks academically in the top 10 percent of schools in California. Click on the following link for information on LACHSA and the Walk for the Arts.
