The Office of the Dean of Students assessed programs offered by WellBeingU.

WellBeingU events had more than 1,100 student participants and 15 students who completed a survey.

WellBeingU is a campus-wide initiative to promote the holistic wellness of students, faculty, and staff through resources, programs, and events. Since its inception, the program has created a speaker series, 2 well-being classrooms, a well-being garden, a podcast series, a student video series, and a therapy animal program, among other elements.

In the 2022-2023 AY, it was decided that an event series would be added to WellBeingU’s offerings to provide additional outreach and engagement opportunities for the campus community. The “In the Garden” Series was created to promote the new Janice Cordova Garden of Well-Being as a wellness space on campus that is open to all for casual relaxation as well as an event space.

100% of respondents indicated that participation in the event at least "somewhat" added to their sense of wellness and belonging at Cal State LA.

We plan to continue offering events that students indicate are a positive experience and add to their wellness and sense of community on campus.
