Winner's Agreement

The winning artist grants California State University, Los Angeles a non-exclusive, perpetual, royalty-free license to reproduce, adapt, distribute, and display the artwork for official university communications, including the president's 2026 holiday card in print and digital form, email, web, social media, digital signage, university publications, and archival use. The artist retains ownership of the original artwork and copyright and may continue to use it for their own portfolio and purposes, with the understanding that the university's use is not restricted by that ongoing use. The university will credit the artist by name on the back of the printed card and in digital versions where practical. The university will not sell the artwork or reproductions.

The artist confirms the work is original, does not infringe any copyright, trademark, or right of privacy or publicity, and that any identifiable individuals have consented. The artist agrees to provide the highest-resolution or native file available and to respond to reasonable requests during production. The artist accepts the $500 gift card as full consideration and understands it may be reportable income and, for employees, will be processed as taxable compensation. Students should be aware that prizes can affect financial aid calculations. The artist will be recognized at the Holiday Celebration and in university communications and consents to the use of their name, likeness, and a brief bio for that purpose.
