DACA/Immigration Status Support
Legal support with DACA and other immigration-related needs is available for free to Cal State LA students, staff, faculty and their immediate relatives (spouses, parents, siblings, and children). The services are provided through a partnership with the Central American Resource Center (CARECEN) LA College Legal Services.
CARECEN-LA College Legal Services
CARECEN provides the following services in a non in-person capacity and continues working on existing cases, as well as initial consultations, online or by telephone.
- General Consultations
- Adjustment of status (residency)
- Consular processing
- DACA renewals
- Family petitions
- Removal of conditions of residency
- Representation for unaccompanied minors
- Residency card renewal/replacement
- TPS renewals
- Work permit renewal
DACA Application Fees
If you’re applying for DACA for or renewing your status, you may be eligible for assistance with the application fee.
STEP 1: Meet with our CARECEN legal team to see if you’re eligible to apply for or renew DACA.
STEP 2: If you're eligible, make an appointment with the Office of the Vice President for Student Life by emailing [email protected]
STEP 3: Go to your appointment, bring the document provided by the CARECEN attorney and receive a check.
