PRESIDENT'S GOLDEN EAGLE EXCELLENCE AWARD

President Berenecea Johnson Eanes is proud to announce the launch of the President’s Golden Eagle Excellence Award. As the University’s highest staff employee honor, this inaugural award recognizes an exceptional employee who serves as the driving force behind Cal State LA’s mission of transformation.

This individual demonstrates exemplary performance and an outstanding commitment to our mission and fostering a positive, University-wide impact. This distinction honors the dedicated staff employee whose professional mastery, integrity, and daily commitment to University values have helped our institution soar.

The recipient of the President’s Golden Eagle Excellence Award for the fiscal year 2025-2026 (July 2025-June 2026) will be announced during the Employee Recognition and Service Awards Celebration on Friday, September 4, 2026. All active, full-time staff, confidential, and management (MPP) employees of the University, University Auxiliary Services, Inc., the University-Student Union, and Associated Students, Inc., with at least five years of service are eligible for nomination. Temporary employees and faculty members are not eligible. Self-nominations will not be accepted.

Using the criteria below as guidelines, please provide any specific activities or job-related endeavors in which the nominee has participated, as well as why you feel this individual should receive the President’s Golden Eagle Excellence Award for 2025-2026. Please provide as many details as possible. There is no limit to the number of people who may nominate an employee.
