ECST Capstone Senior Design projects provide students with the experience to apply their theoretical knowledge to practical applications. Students work in teams to develop real solutions to real-world problems defined by our industry partners during an academic year.
The Capstone Senior Design projects will be presented at the University-Student Union (U-SU), 3rd floor, at the Los Angeles Rooms, Alhambra Room, Board Rooms North/South, Montebello Room, Pasadena Room, and San Gabriel Room.
Cal State LA is proud to offer Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) training for students, faculty, and staff at Cal State LA at no cost. Participants learn risk factors and warning signs of serious and developing mental health challenges, how to talk with a person who might be experiencing a mental health challenge, and strategies to help identify the next best steps.
To receive an MHFA certificate of completion, participants must stay for the full duration of the training.

The Chicana/o Latina/o Student Resource Center will host an interactive workshop and critical discussion that delves into the true history of Cinco de Mayo. This event goes beyond the common misconceptions and commercialized celebrations to explore the Battle of Puebla’s historical significance and its connection to Chicano activism in the U.S. Through a collaborative workshop, participants will critically analyze the portrayal of Mexican culture in media and discuss how to honor the holiday with authenticity and respect.
