Date and time
Tuesday, April 21, 2026 - 10:00am to 12:00pm
Location
U-SU Los Angeles Rooms AB (Third Floor)
Description

This workshop addresses critical mental health challenges facing Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) communities. Dr. Hyeouk "Chris" Hahm will present a model that examines how the intersection of family expectations, gender roles, and U.S. social structures can lead to feelings of "never being good enough" or "suffering alone."

Learn how to apply a practical, culturally responsive intervention to foster resilience, authentic emotional expression, and belonging with AAPI individuals and families. Please visit the event webpage for more information.

* Al-generated auto-captioning will be provided. Please indicate on the RSVP form any additional accommodations requests.

This event is co-sponsored by the ROOTS Scholars Program and the School of Social Work HCAI SWECE Behavioral Health Project Grant.
