ABOUT DR. PERRY
Dr. Charity Perry holds advanced degrees in sociology and marriage and family therapy, and is considered to be the national expert on the 'Transition Day' in Blended Families, she is also a leading expert in the field of blended families and stepfamilies in Southern California. Dr. Perry has also been certified as a stepfamily coach by the worlds leading authority on stepfamilies, The Stepfamily Foundation. Dr. Perry has childhood and adult teaching experience from both private and state educational institutions.
Ya-Chih “Jilly” Chang, Ph.D. is a Professor in the Department of Special Education and Counseling at California State University, Los Angeles. Her research focuses on social communication interventions with young children with autism and other developmental disabilities, the implementation of evidence-based interventions for young children with disabilities in inclusive settings, and community-partnered interventions for culturally and linguistically diverse children and families.
Professor Talavera-Bustillos is a fourth-generation Chicana and a first-generation college student from South Gate. She graduated from Pius X High School, attended UC Irvine, and received her doctorate in 1998 from UCLA’s Graduate School of Education, mentored by Professor Daniel Solórzano.
Dr. Doran is Full Professor in Cal State Los Angeles' History Department and Advisor in the Classical, Ancient, and Medieval Global Studies Undergraduate Minor.
He is a classicist (scholar of Greco-Roman culture) specializing in Ancient Sparta.
He has taught in many fields of Greek and Roman history, religion, literature, art, archaeology, and other aspects of material culture, and occasionally teaches classes in the Greek and Latin languages.
Sharon H. Ulanoff is a Professor of Bilingual/Multicultural and Literacy Education at California State University, Los Angeles, where she currently serves as the Associate Director of the Ed.D. Program in Educational Leadership. She joined the faculty of the Charter College of Education in 2001.
My name is Sara Pugach, and I have taught African, European, and World History at Cal State LA since 2008. My research focuses on the tangled interconnections between various African countries and Germany in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries.
Dr. Orozco migrated from Mexico in 1994 as a 10th grader and went to Montebello High School. She completed all of her higher education degrees at Cal State LA – a B.A. and an M.A. in Child Development, a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential and an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from the CCOE. She is a Golden Eagle through and through.
