Julian Nykolak

 

Julian Nykolak is an art historian specializing in postwar art. He received his PhD from the Graduate Program in Visual and Cultural Studies at the University of Rochester and his BA from Wesleyan University. His research illuminates the significance of collective artistic formations to rethink theories of the avant-garde and histories of identity, difference, and relationality in twentieth-century art. He teaches widely in modern and contemporary art history.

Oliverio Rodriguez

Oli Rodriguez is an interdisciplinary artist working in filmmaking, video, photography, performance and writing. Currently, he is an Assistant Professor in the Art Department at California State University, Los Angeles. His projects conceptually intersect within notions of subversive desire, passing, visualizing the performativity of gender, explorations in appropriation, performative interactions with the public as collaborator and a commitment to referencing historical movements in gender, racial and feminist histories.

Zachary Zezima

 

Zachary Zezima is an animation director based in Los Angeles. He received his BFA from Parsons The New School for Design and his MFA from California Institute of the Arts (CalArts). His work frequently includes elements of psychology, the body, interpersonal relationships, science-fiction, and autobiography.

Tim Ebner

Tim Ebner attended the California College of Arts and Crafts, and received a BFA and an MFA from the California Institute of the Arts in 1982. He has regularly exhibited in Los Angeles galleries since 1982, and has been showing with the Rosamund Felsen Gallery since 1991. He has taught at CalArts, Otis College of Art and Design, Occidental College, Claremont College, UCLA, Art Center College of Art & Design, and is currently  a professor at California State University, Los Angeles.

Teaches a wide variety of courses in Fashion, Fiber and Materials in the Department of Art.

JIM OVELMEN Professor, Art

Jim Ovelmen is a mixed media artist, painter, and animator. His work often combines painting, sculpture, animation, and musical performance. His work continues to be shown internationally. He has exhibited in numerous museums and galleries in Los Angeles, New York, Berlin, Mexico City, Barcelona, Taipei, Tokyo, Nagoya, and elsewhere.
