Freshmen: Multi-Factor Review Process

Cal State LA is committed to providing access and, as part of this commitment, we may consider special factors when reviewing applications. If you are CSU eligible but don’t meet the minimum CSU GPA admission requirements, we may evaluate your application through the Multifactor Review Process (MFRP) (does not apply to pre-nursing).

Applicants evaluated through the MFRP should have a have minimum 2.30 GPA (or 2.77 GPA for non-CA residents and graduates of non-CA high schools). They will be ranked by their Multi-Factor Admission Score (MFAS) and may be offered admission based on space availability in their major or college.
