Keynote Speaker
MINJEONG JEON, Ph.D.
Professor of Advanced Quantitative Methods
UCLA School of Education and Information Studies
Minjeong Jeon, Ph.D., is Professor of Advanced Quantitative Methods in the UCLA School of Education and Information Studies. She serves as Co-Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Educational and Behavioral Statistics. Her work has been recognized with four early-career awards and a dissertation award, and she has held elected leadership and service roles in major professional organizations in psychometrics and quantitative methodology.
Dr. Jeon’s research focuses on developing statistical and psychometric methods for measuring complex, unobserved human attributes and understanding heterogeneity and change over time. Her work spans latent variable, latent space, longitudinal, and network modeling, with applications in education, psychology, and health. Her recent health-related research includes mental health and symptom heterogeneity, personalized and longitudinal assessment, digital health evaluation, and the use of text, behavioral, and physiological data to measure clinical and psychological outcomes. She is currently involved in several NIH-funded research projects and is particularly interested in how AI and emerging data sources can be combined with rigorous measurement principles to advance personalized assessment and precision health.
