School of Social Work Honor's Convocation Award Ceremony
The School of Social Work is pleased to host an Honors Convocation Award Ceremony to recognize and celebrate the outstanding academic achievements of our graduating Bachelor of Arts in Social Work (BASW) and Master of Social Work (MSW) students.
This ceremony honors students who have earned a Dean's List Certificate and/or Special Recognition in Graduate Studies Certificate during Spring 2025 and/or Fall 2025.
Award Criteria
Dean's List Certificate (Undergraduate Students)
Undergraduate students earn this distinction by achieving a minimum GPA of 3.5 in 12 or more graded units during a single semester. Students must have no "NC" (No Credit) grades for that term. This recognition is noted on t he student's academic transcript.
Special Recognition in Graduate Studies Certificate (Graduate Students)
Graduate students may be recognized if they have earned a cumulative GPA of 3.80 or higher in their graduate program and have completed 80% or more of their graduate program requirements. Recognition is awarded upon recomendation by the student's department, division, or school and is presented at the University Honors Convocation.

Due to space limitations, indoor seating will be available on a first-come, first-served basis to those who RSVP:
- First 43 BASW Students
- First 27 ASP Students
- First 25 2-Year MSW Students
- First 25 3-Year MSW Students
Outdoor space will be open to all invitees, regardless of RSVP status.
Important Notice
This event is only open to graduating BASW and MSW students who meet the Dean's List and/or Special Recognition in Graduate Studies Certificate requirements.
- Reservations and admittance from non-graduating BASW or MSW students will not be accepted.
- Reservations and admittance from graduating BASW or MSW students who do not meet the certificate requirements will not be accepted.
