Cal State LA ranked among nation’s top universities by Washington Monthly

Cal State LA has been ranked again among the top universities in the nation in Washington Monthly’s annual college guide.

The magazine’s 2018 College Ranking Guide names Cal State LA number six in its 150 “Top Master’s Universities” category, which includes institutions that grant graduate degrees.

The university moves up an impressive 10 places on the list. Cal State LA also moved up one spot to number six in the “Best Bang for the Buck Western Colleges” category.

The magazine rates universities based on their contribution to the public good, considering factors that include research, service and social mobility. 

“These rankings highlight the continued success of our mission,” Cal State LA President William A. Covino said. “We’re committed to providing an exceptional and affordable higher education experience that not only benefits our students but enriches entire communities.”
