College of Business and Economics ranked again in the U.S.News “America’s Best Colleges”

Los Angeles, CA – Each year for more than a decade, Cal State L.A.s undergraduate business program has been listed among the nation’s best in U.S. News & World Reports “America’s Best Colleges” issue.

Ranked at #155 overall, Cal State L.A. is among the top 10 public institutions in California in the most recent listing.

To determine the rankings, U.S. News polled deans and senior faculty from undergraduate business programs last spring. Only programs accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) were considered. Just 5 percent of over 13,000 business degree granting universities worldwide have the AACSB international accreditation, which means that the College of Business and Economics at Cal State L.A. meets the highest business program standard.

Cal State L.A.’s College of Business and Economics offers undergraduate programs in accounting, economics, finance, information systems, management and marketing. Accounting is the third most popular undergraduate program at the University with more than 1,000 students (behind criminal justice and biology); and management is fifth with more than 800 students. Overall, more than 3,800 students are majors in the College of Business and Economics.

The University's MBA program is listed by The Princeton Review as one of the Best 296 Business Schools in 2014. It is also listed in the L.A. Business Journal as one of the top MBA programs in Los Angeles. Other graduate degree programs offered include accounting, economics, healthcare management and information systems.
