Educational Administration Alumni Chapter

Business and Economics Alumni Chapter
The SBE Alumni Chapter now has its 116 members and is growing! Officers are: Valerie Davidson ('94 M.S.), president; Juan Salguero ('94 B.S.), vice president; Thomas Tamura ('94 B.S.), secretary; Linda Trevillian, Executive Director. Engineering and Technology Interest Group

Alumni Meet in Albuquerque
In November, the Alumni Association organized a special dinner for Albuquerque area alumni at El Portal Restaurant in Old Town. Carl Selkin, Acting Dean (Arts and Letters), Eri Yasuhara Acting Associate Dean (Arts and Letters), and Development Directors Lee Werbel (Arts and Letters) and Maureen Micklich (Natural and Social Sciences), who were attending the National Arts and Sciences Deans Conference, represented the University.

Foods and Nutrition Alumni Chapter
The Foods and Nutrition Alumni Chapter welcomes 55 new members! The chapter organized two events which provided opportunities to earn Continuing Education units. On July 26, Ellen Coleman addressed the group on the topic, "Sports Nutrition in the '90s," and on November 11, the group met for a seminar titled "Health Foods, Herbal Nutrition, Nutrition Quackery & What Consumers Need To Know." Chinese Alumni from the '70s Meet Again
The second annual reunion of Chinese alumni from the '70s was a great success. Alumni met for dinner at the Golden Dragon in Chinatown. For more information on the third annual event to be held next April, call Pedro Chan, '72, at (213) 721-0763.

Recent Alumni Happy Hour
Graduates from the 1990s met at Moose McGillycuddy's in Old Pasadena for the first "Recent Alumni" Happy Hour. It was a great opportunity for recent grads to meet and network and get the latest campus news. All participants enjoyed themselves and we+ve been encouraged to continue this tradition by planning for the next Happy Hour in April. Alumni Employees of the Gas Company Meet for Lunch
Over 70 alumni who are manager-level employees of the Southern California Gas Company gathered for a special luncheon at the Gas Company Tower in downtown Los Angeles this past summer. President James Rosser and alumnus George Strang '65, vice president of transmission and storage operation for the Gas Company encouraged the alumni present to renew their ties with the University by visiting campus and getting involved with the Alumni Association. This event was sponsored by the Gas Company and the Alumni Association.
