Spring Forward Dance Concert 2002 at Cal State L.A.

What & Who:
The Department of Theatre Arts and Dance at Cal State L.A. presents Spring Forward Dance Concert. Guest artist choreographers and Cal State L.A. students to perform in this exciting dance concert. Directed by noted choreographer Hae Kyung Lee.

When:
April 26-April 28, 2002.
Show time: Friday & Saturday, 8 p.m.; Sunday, 2:30 p.m.

Where:
Cal State L.A. State Playhouse. The University is located at the Eastern Ave. exit, San Bernardino (I-10) Fwy., at the interchange of the 10 and 710 Fwys. (Public permit dispenser parking available in Lots C, F, or G and upper level of Parking Structure II.)

Tickets:
General admission is $10 and students/senior citizens/groups are $5 each.

DIRECTOR:
Hae Kyung Lee is a professor of Dance at Cal State L.A. She has performed extensively throughout Korea, Japan, France, Germany, Indonesia, Taiwan, Mexico, Canada and the United States. She is a founding member of the Seoul Contemporary Dance Company, Fall Ahead Dance and Performance Festival and Hae Kyung Lee & Dancers. Lee has performed in international festivals such as Belluard Bollwerk International (BBI) Festival in Fribourg, Switzerland, the 8th & 9th Annual International Korean Dance Festival in Seoul, Korea, the Festival de Folklore Drummondville in Quebec, Canada and the University of Mainz in Hellerau, Germany. Locally, Lee has performed in the Los Angeles Olympic Arts Festival, the Getty Center Museum, the California Plaza and the Japan America Theater. Lee has been the recipient of grants from the National Endowment for the Arts, the National Endowment for the Arts Choreography Fellowship, the James Irvine Foundation California Dancemaker Choreography Fellowship Grant and the City of Los Angeles Individual Artist Fellowship from Cultural Affairs Grants.
