at Cal State L.A. Presents
Bulgarian Soprano on Jan. 26

Los Angeles, CA--The List-Glenn Institute at California State University, Los Angeles presents an evening with Bulgarian soprano Zvetelina Maldjanska on Friday, January 26, at 8 p.m. in the Cal State L.A. Music Hall. The List-Glenn Institute is directed by noted pianist Paul Van Ness, a professor of music at Cal State L.A.

Zvetelina Maldjanska has sung with Sofia National Opera of Bulgaria and has performed in Italy and in Brazil with the Sao Paulo City Opera. A remarkable artist, she is fluent in six languages and is a neurologist by profession. She will be accompanied on the piano by Laraine Stivers, Pasadena City College music faculty member. The program includes songs by Schumann, Dvorak, Debussy and Tchaikovsky, plus arias by Verdi, Meyerbeer, Puccini and others.
