New Development Director at Cal State L.A.

Los Angeles, California - The Division of Institutional Advancement at California State University, Los Angeles recently announced the appointment of Los Angeles resident Lawrence R. Horne as director of development for the School of Arts and Letters, effective January 25, 1999.

Horne was most recently the senior development officer for the Centers for the Arts and Humanities at Claremont Graduate University. Previously, he was director of development for the Heritage Square Museum, producer for Pasturegate Productions and executive director for the Gay and Lesbian Media Coalition. Horne also has been a special programming consultant for KCET (Channel 28), a film tour consultant for The American Film Institute, and a visiting lecturer and teaching associate at UCLA.

Horne holds a B.A. in French Language and Literature from Harpur College, SUNY-Binghamton, an M.A. in Media Studies from UCLA and has completed the course work toward a Ph.D. in the History of Film and Television at UCLA.
