Cal State L.A. Students Participate
in Annual CSU Student
Research Competition

Los Angeles, CA - Cal State L.A. Electrical Engineering graduate student Yunyang Dai (Monterey Park resident) won second place in the graduate-level Engineering and Computer Science category at the 14th Annual CSU Student Research Competition held at the Cal Poly Pomona campus. She competed against 144 CSU students in nine categories. Her project, which was directed by Martin Roden, professor of electrical engineering, was entitled "Blind Equalization: Single-Channel vs. Array Processing."

This annual CSU sponsored event follows the Cal State L.A. Symposium on Research, Scholarship and Creative Activity which is held on campus every winter quarter. The campus-wide symposium is co-sponsored by the Office of Graduate Studies and Research and The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi. The aim of the symposium is to encourage all students--undergraduate and graduate in every discipline--to showcase and share their papers, projects and research endeavors and to network with administrators, faculty and peers.

Other Cal State L.A. students who competed in the statewide research event are:
