Approximately 25 local nonprofit organizations will be on campus to offer volunteer and internship opportunities to Cal State LA students. Opportunities will be available in areas such as marketing, counseling, domestic violence support, child development, health education, and more. Students will have the opportunity to connect directly with representatives from community-based organizations and explore meaningful experiences for the Summer Session.

Featured speaker, Dr. Ann Turnbull is the Beach Distinguished Professor of Special Education Emerita at the University of Kansas. She has authored 33 books, including 2 textbooks in their 9th/10th editions. She has also authored over 300 articles and chapters largely on the themes of quality of life, inclusion, family partnerships, and family quality of life.
