About the Convening
Join us for the 3rd Annual Prison Graduation Initiative (PGI) Convening during Second Chance Month—a day of celebration, connection, and community impact. Connect with vendors and reentry resources, experience films centered on the incarcerated journey, and join us in the evening for a legislative panel on reform and second chances, culminating in the world premiere of “The People in Blue.”

“The People in Blue,” directed by Louis Sāle and produced entirely by a crew of incarcerated filmmakers, shows what’s possible when residents, nonprofit partners, and California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) come togetherto reimagine rehabilitation and redefine the incarcerated narrative through true collaboration.
