I'm proud to be part of the CSULA English faculty. I love meeting new students and working to help them become better writers and stronger critical thinkers. Originally from St. Louis, I've lived in L.A. since graduating college and think I might just stay.

My Professional Experience
I started teaching at CSULA as a teaching associate in 2014 and I liked it so much that I've been teaching here ever since. Before becoming an instructor at CSULA, I worked in tutoring and really enjoyed helping students improve one on one. I'm a big fan of having conferences with students to help them clarify and strengthen their writing and will encourage you to meet with me at least once during the semester as well as visiting our writing center for more individualized feedback. I also adjunct at SMC and PCC.

My Interests
I'm a mom with two young sons and family is very important to me. I also love riding horses and watching kung fu and Jane Austen adaptations.
