Description
The Pan African Studies Department is excited to be hosting a special advanced screening of the TV show Shots Fired (episode titled: "The Fire This Time"). Immediately following the screening will be a panel discussion moderated by Professor Aminah Bakeer Abdul-Jabbaar about the show and the 25th anniversary of the LA Uprising. Panelists include: Shots Fired producer Reggie Bythewood; actor Mack Wilds, who plays Deputy Beck; writer/producer Dee Harris-Lawrence; music supervisor Jabari Ali; and Pan-African Studies department chair Dr. Melina Abdullah.
