Description

Join filmmaker Rodrigo Dorfman for a screening and discussion of his film Occupy the Imagination: Tales of Seduction and Resistance, which explores the stories of individuals who struggle to create alternative spaces of cultural resistance to the Western neo-liberal model of capitalism. The film mixes and contrasts stories from Chile and its history of revolution, repression and negotiated transition to democracy with the first year of the Occupy Wall Street movement. View the trailer on Dorfman's website.

This program is in conjunction with the Pacific Standard Time: LA/LA exhibition, "How to Read El Pato Pascual: Disney's Latin America and Latin America's Disney," currently on display at the Luckman Fine Arts Gallery until January 2018.
