Description

DJ Lynnée Denise, a lecturer for the Pan-African Studies Department at Cal State LA, will curate a panel discussion on the race, class and gender perspectives missed in the euphoria and excitement of the 2018 Marvel film Black Panther. She will be joined by Dylan Rodriguez from UC Riverside and Funmilola Fagbamilia from the Pan-African Studies Department at Cal State LA. Black Panther will be screened by Guillermo Granizo's "Olympic Fantasy" mural outside the University Gymnasium on Friday, August 24.
