Description
The exhibit will showcase key aspects of Rubén Salazar’s life, career and their social context. It will include articles Salazar authored regarding education, police-community relations in East Los Angeles, agricultural labor, and his transition from a Mexican American reporter to a columnist who explained the triumphs and frustrations of the Chicano community. Also included is a photo slideshow with a video montage about the Chicano Movement and Rubén Salazar.
The exhibit to be accompanied by a screening of a documentary about Rubén Salazar shown recently on PBS. (Date: TBD)
