Description
Treasure explores the life of Shelley “Treasure” Hilliard, a 19-year-old from Detroit who was brutally murdered in a transphobic hate crime. The crime, however, was not prosecuted as such. With footage of Treasure, her mother, her friends, law enforcement, and community activists, this film is about projections, perceptions, and communities misrepresented and misunderstood. Directed by dream hampton and Natasha T. Miller. 2015. 63 minutes.
