Description

A bilingual Spanish-English adaptation of the classical play by Lope de Vega that mirrors our current political climate: amid Ferdinand and Isabel’s reconquest of Spain, commander Fernán Gómez de Guzmán is installed in the village of Fuente Ovejuno. But when the general attempts to rape the local women, the villagers rise up and collectively resist.
