Get on the bus and get culturally connected to Olvera Street! Known as the “birthplace of Los Angeles,” Olvera Street is a narrow, brick-lined road with old structures, painted stalls, street vendors, art, and more. Barbara Carrasco, who was part of the important art exhibit Chicano Art: Resistance and Affirmation, will lead a tour of the area’s art spaces. The Chicanx Latinx Student Resource Center will host snacks, lunch, and transportation. Space is limited. Hold your spot for $10 (cash only, non-refundable) at U-SU Room 306. Tickets go on sale between Aug. 25 and Sept. 12. Participants must use transportation provided by the University-Student Union.
