Date and time
Wednesday, February 8, 2023 - 2:00pm to 3:15pm
Location
Community Room (Library North, B131)
Description

Creating Worlds Otherwise will feature Cal State LA alumni and community members discussing how they engage art, journalism, and activism in their creative work toward critique and liberation. Join us for an illuminating plática and yummy snacks!

We will be joined by Oscar M. Santos, multi-instrumentalist, multimodal artist, educator, and founder of the musical group Sister Mantos, whose sound and lyricism provide the soundtrack to support activist work and make the dance floor a place to connect with like-minded individuals of all shapes and sizes. Sister Mantos believes music is a transformational tool to unite people and create utopian spaces of vibrational healing and the communion of dance!

Presented by the Cross Cultural Centers and the University Library.
