Aishwary Kumar, assistant professor of Intellectual History at Stanford University, will explore the return of populism in the world's two largest democracies, India and the US, and its impact on the idea of citizenship on a global scale. Jeffrey Wasserstrom, Chancellor's Professor of History at UC Irvine, will discuss the role of China in contemporary global affairs.
