Description
Dr. Caroline McManus and her English Senior Seminar students will lead an exploration of children’s literature and its relation to literacy, aesthetics, and value. What constitutes “good” children’s literature? What is its value for children and adults? What is the connection between different types of children’s literature and later literacy skills? How do word and image connect? Cal State LA students, families, and community members of all ages are welcome.
