Mission & Vision
The mission of the Sikand Center for Sustainable and Intelligent Infrastructure (Sikand SITI-Center), housed within Cal State LA’s College of Engineering, Computer Science, and Technology, is to support the advancement of multidisciplinary research, education, and professional development with a focus on Urban Sustainability and its components.
The Sikand SITI-Center will be an incubator for successful sustainability solutions while facilitating the advancement of faculty, students, and affiliated members.
What We Focus On
Urban sustainability and its components include transportation infrastructure, water resources and hydrology, urban structures and earthquake resiliency, environment, geotechnics, smart mobility, and connected vehicles, energy and vehicle electrification, construction management, and advances in technology related to sustainability such as artificial intelligence and data science. In particular, we focus on issues of interest to urban Southern California.
