Peter Quan leads three service-based Information Technology Services (ITS) units that support the University's ever-increasing use of new and various technologies, from e-mail and telephone service to the latest software applications.
CMS and Enterprise Systems
Common Management Systems (CMS); application integration; data warehousing;
PeopleSoft applications; and auxiliary systems.
IT Infrastructure Services
Desktop services; user and technical support; University Baseline; telephone and campus directory services:
server, network, LAN/WAN, and computer operations; and database administration and systems.
IT Security and Compliance
Information security awareness, policies, procedures, documentation, and compliance.
ITS is responsible for Common Management Systems (CMS) Project Management, which supports the CSU's CMS mission of providing efficient, effective, high quality service to students, faculty, and staff
To align and measure its performance with the University's strategic objectives, ITS uses a customized version of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) along with additional ITS components for a comprehensive best management practices model: CCCDSAFE.
