On behalf of our entire Housing and Residence Life team, I'd like to welcome you to Cal State LA. With a new Residential complex and dining facility, we are excited to get you to be a part of a new Cal State LA on campus experience. Making new friends, being close to classrooms, campus services, and avoiding the long commute are all about of why many choose to live on campus.
Studies do show that living on campus increases the likelihood that you'll achieve higher grades, build more leadership skills and become connected to the University in a more meaningful way. Let's face it, graduation rates for on campus students are higher as well and that's the ultimate goal for you and your family.
Our Housing and Residence Life staff is here for you. We offer social events, academic workshops and one-on-one support. California State University, Los Angeles has more to offer than you can imagine. A simple DORM is where you eat and sleep but a RESIDENCE HALL at Cal State LA is where you eat and sleep AND enjoy an educational and social experience. Our diverse community provides an amazing environment wherein you'll learn about others - and about you. I challenge you to get involved, study hard, make new friends and reach for the sky.
