The following are Cal State L.A. student support services and resources.

Office for Students with Disabilities (OSD)

The Office for Students with Disabilities promotes student independence and achievement by providing educational and disability-related support services for students with disabilities.

Financial Aid

The Center for Student Financial Aid is committed to assisting current and prospective students with financial assistance available from federal, state and institutional sources for their attendance at Cal State L.A.

Office of the Registrar

The Office of the Registrar is responsible for maintaining all student academic records, including transcripts and class schedules. The Registrar oversees the Office of Enrollment Services, the University Records Office and the University Graduation Office.

University Records Office

The University Records Office can assist with transcripts, certification of enrollment, processing leave of absences, and grade discrepancies.  This office also assists with processing class registrations including: adds/drops, late adds, withdrawls and registration to audit a course

Student Health Services

Student Health Services provides affordable health care and health education for Cal State L.A. students. Student Health Services offers the following services:

  • Chiropractic, Dental, Nutrition, and Optometry clinics
  • Counseling, psychological, and psychiatric services
  • CPR training
  • Family planning and emergency contraception
  • Health promotion and education
  • Immunizations
  • Laboratory, pharmacy and x-ray
  • Massage therapy
  • Tuberculosis screening and counseling

Location: Main walkway between the Career Development Center and the Wallis Annenberg Integrated Sciences Complex.

Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS)

CAPS provides professional and non-judgemental mental health services to assist with student's personal growth and psychological wellness.

Career Development Center

The Career Development Center can assist students in identifying on- and off-campus jobs, internships, and professional career placements. The Career Development Center assists students at all levels including as alumni.

Location: The Career Development Center is located on the main walkway, between the Physical Education Building and the Student Health Center.

Associated Students, Inc. (ASI)

ASI is governed by a student Board of Directors who are elected by the student body of Cal State L.A. ASI offers the following services and resources:

  • Student Services
  • Veterans Resources
  • Scholarship Opportunities
  • Ticket sales for amusement parks and movie theatres

Center for Student Involvement

The Center for Student Involvement provides student leadership initiatives, student organization development, and programs and services that foster campus involvement, personal growth and student learning. Students can do the following:

  • Connect with over 120 student organizations including fraternities & sororities
  • Learn about social activities on campus
  • Develop leadership skills at through interactive programs
  • Participate in a community service experience

The Erika J. Glazer Family Dreamers Resource Center

The Erika J. Glazer Family Dreamers Resource Center promotes the success of undocumented students and students from mixed-status families at Cal State LA through a variety of resources, services, and community engagement opportunities. Such programs and services are:

  • Weekly immigration legal clinics
  • California Dream Act Application for Financial Aid Assistance
  • Professional and academic development workshops.

Student Basic Needs programs are available at Cal State LA.

Title IX: Confidentiality, Resources and Reporting Obligations 

Title IX and the CSU prohibit gender discrimination, including sexual harassment, dating or domestic violence, sexual assault, sexual exploitation and stalking.

The College strongly encourages all members of the community to take action, seek support and report incidents of sexual misconduct to the Title IX Office. 

Faculty and employees are required under the CSU Nondiscrimination Policy to inform the Title IX Office should they become aware that you or any other student has experienced sexual violence or sexual harassment.
