The Professor for a Day speaker series brings successful alumni and CBE students together giving students the opportunity to meet our alumni and learn how they succeeded in business. Speakers talk about their experience and pass on their wisdom and advice.

Bob Laemmle Bob Laemmle '58, a second generation owner of the family run Laemmle Theatres, is a Cal State L.A. graduate (’58) and inductee to the Cal State L.A. Athletics Hall of Fame in 2005. Read more here



Susan WooSusan Woo, '07, President of Jade Lake Inc, a women’s swimwear manufacturing company, is an immigrant success story. Ms. Woo immigrated with her parents from Vietnam in 1984. Read more here



Roland KellyRoland Kelly, '56, is founder of Spectrum Asset Management, Inc. and a recipient of the Distinguished Alumnus Award from the College of Business and Economics.  Kelly was born in Downtown Los Angeles and grew up two miles from Cal State L.A. Read more here.
