Congratulations to CalCPA scholarship recipients Han Nguyen, Lina Truong, Carlos David, and Tianpei Li! The LA chapter awarded $20,000 worth of scholarships to ten college students from across Los Angeles County universities. Cal State LA students received the most scholarships of any Los Angeles area college and the most awards in one year in our history – demonstrating our students’ drive and abilities. Awards are based on several criteria including a minimum GPA, leadership and significant participation in the community. CalCPA is a business and finance association dedicated to promoting the image and integrity of the CPA profession through education and advocacy. Thanks also to Department Chair Kathy Hansen for continuing to support CalCPA on campus and encouraging student involvement.
