Honors College students pay the same fees as regularly enrolled students. There are no additional fees associated with enrollment in the Honors College.

Join the Honors College
The Cal State LA Honors College is committed to admitting motivated students who are interested in actively participating in our intellectual, social, and community engagement programs. Selection will be based on a comprehensive review of application materials, including written essays and letters of recommendation. Both new and continuing students are eligible for admission to the Honors College. New students must also be admitted to the University.
National and International Scholarships and Fellowships Program
Located within the Honors College, NISFeP assists all Cal State LA students in pursuing off-campus scholarships and fellowships in the areas of academic and applied research, and global and civic learning.
Advising
The Honors College supports the undergraduate community with advising services as students explore, navigate Cal State LA and graduate. Academic Advisors help students navigate through Cal State LA Orientation, registration of classes, and graduation with general education and Honors College requirements. Students should meet regularly with their advisor.
Honors College Alumna
Dr. Leana Wen is an emergency physician, professor of health policy and management at George Washington University, and a nonresident senior fellow at the Brookings Institution. She is also the author of When Doctors Don't Listen: How to Avoid Misdiagnoses and Unnecessary Tests (2013) and Lifelines: A Doctor's Journey in the Fight for Public Health (2021). She returned to The Honors College for an insightful conversation on public health, mentorship, and her newest book.
