The CSULA Chem Club
The Chemistry and Biochemistry Club is open to anyone with an interest in these fields. The purpose of this organization is to promote interest in chemistry and the chemical professions, to aid understanding of the these fields, and to provide interaction among individuals engaged in their study. The Chem. Club has broadened its perspective and now combines its academic pursuits with social activities, networking, and "moral support."
The Chem. Club sponsors several outreach events each year, including Terrific and Scientific, the Sally ride Festival, and other various activities.
Dues are only $20 annually for new members, $15 annually for renewals. Faculty and staff dues are $20 annually. If you choose to be an ACS and/or ASM affiliate member, dues are an additional $15 per year. Both include a free T-shirt!

Tutoring
The Chem Club is offering free tutoring to its members for the following classes.
Please send us an email chemcsula@gmail.com to book an appointment with the tutors ahead of time.
- English: Mon, Tues, Wed, Thurs 3:20- 4:10 pm
- General Chemistry: Mon 1-2, Tues 2-4 pm, Fri 1-2
- Math: Mon, Fri 1-2 pm and Tues, Thurs 3-4 pm
- General Microbiology: Mon, Wed 1-3 pm
- Organic Chemistry: Mon, Wed, Fri 8:30-9:30 am
- Physical Chemistry: Tues 2-4 pm
- Physics: Tues 2-4 pm
- Quantitative Analysis: Tues 2-4 pm

Fundraiser
-The Chem Club is having a fundraiser from 11:00 am to 2:30 pm on August 5th in the main walkway. We will be selling popsicles, cookies, brownies, cake slices, and (of course) chilled sodas! It'd be great if some of you could come help us sell. If you're interested in giving us a hand, drop by our table on the day of the fundraiser.
Potluck
-We're having our summer potluck on August 7th. the potluck in the grassy area next to the Physical Sciences building (walk to the back of the building and go down the stairs until you can see a field of grass--you should be able to see us too) at 12:30 pm. Once again, if you are bringing food to the potluck (which is encouraged if you're coming), please send us an email telling us what type of food it is.
