Cal State L.A. is proud to offer a variety of choral ensembles for the aspiring professional musician. Conducted by Dr. Sébastien Vallée, director of choral studies, the ensembles exhibit a high level of performance excellence. Each ensemble  performs concerts both on and off campus and provides students with a wide exposure to, and performance of, the standard and contemporary choral literature
 
CHAMBER SINGERS (MUS 425)
 
The Cal State L.A. Chamber Singers  is the University's premier choral ensemble. Comprised of the top singers,  the ensemble performs several concerts and participates in many choral festivals every year. The Chamber Singers will be performing Mendelssohn's ELIJAH in June, 2014.
 
CONCERT CHOIR (MUS 326)
 
The Concert Choir  is a large choral ensemble open to all students. The ensemble performs a wide variety of musical styles ranging from jazz and contemporary works, to  classical choral masterworks.

THREE-SUMMER MM in Choral Conducting
Earn your Master of Music in Choral Conducting through an intense three-summer program in Los Angeles - the perfect solution for teachers and professionals. This unique program allows our students to refine their conducting and rehearsal technique, musicianship, and vocal pedagogy with hands-on attention of experienced faculty.
SUMMER CHORAL FESTIVAL (July 21-26, 2014)
The Cal State L.A. Summer Choral Festival offers a week-long workshop of concerts, master-classes, rehearsals, and seminars for singers and conductors. The 2014 festival will focus on Baroque music from Germany, France, Italy and England.
