Ways to Contribute
Endow a Scholarship and Fellowship
Scholarships are a critical means of supporting and attracting students to our programs. Scholarships may be named in honor of an individual or organization. Funds can also support students to enter competitions and travel to present at conferences.
Professor emeriti Mac McClain (right) and alum Bob Bailey (center) sponsored the Mac McClain Scholarship for Sculpture. Bob presented the scholarship award to art student Jose Gonzalez.
Visiting Artist and Scholars Series
An endowment would allow one or more artists/scholars to work with advanced undergraduate and graduate students in studios, as well as to give a public lecture or demonstration.
Donations to photography would support moving the labs from the Biological Science Building to the Fine Arts Building, In addition to equipment and refurbishment, funds can also support additional student lab assistant hours as well as student participation in juried photography competitions.
In addition to equipment and refurbishment, funds would support students to enter fashion competitions, materials, travel, and a graduate lab assistant.
Graduate Design Lab
Increasing the size of our lab would assist in recruiting and increasing graduate student enrollment. In addition to equipment and refurbishment, funds can support computers, software, and a graduate lab assistant.
Fine Arts Gallery Endowment
Support for our Fine Arts Gallery would provide funds for equipment, a gallery director, visual library support, student assistants, and materials to support an active exhibition program.
Handmade press is a self-supporting artist printmaking, papermaking and bookmaking studio affiliated with the Department of Art. Handmade Press will produce top-quality traditional and digital graphics by nationally recognized artists, poets, writers and designers that foster collaboration, experimentation and innovation. This press will assist our department in its teaching, research and public service roles.
You can also extend the reach of your generosity far into the future. Many of our friends and alums are discovering the added pleasure of knowing they can continue to support our mission beyond their lifetimes. You may choose to do what literally millions of people have done: make a charitable bequest in your will or retirement plan. You make an important difference every time you donate a small or large gift to support our mission.
